Sustainability Hour
Sustainability Hour is a global platform dedicated to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by showcasing the voices and initiatives of sustainability champions. This initiative brings together local innovators, grassroots movements, and global leaders to drive actionable solutions addressing critical challenges of our time.
Lifestyle for the Environment (LiFE)
Inspired by Mission LiFE, introduced by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, this initiative promotes a lifestyle of environmental consciousness and responsible consumption.
Rooted in the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the belief that we are one global family, this movement encourages collective efforts towards a sustainable future. It builds on the commitments made during India's G20 Presidency to drive climate action, transforming these principles into concrete actions that benefit both people and the planet.
The Beginning
Sustainability Hour began its journey in Dubai, a city recognized for its pioneering efforts in sustainability. As the host of COP28, Dubai demonstrated its commitment to climate action on the global stage. By hosting the UN Climate Change Conference, the city reinforced its leadership in advancing environmental goals. As a hub of innovation, Dubai's focus on reducing carbon emissions, promoting renewable energy, and enhancing energy efficiency made it the ideal starting point for this initiative, bringing together global leaders to shape a sustainable future.
Key Goals
Aiming to accelerate progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Sustainability Hour mobilizes collective action to protect the planet's ecosystems amid ongoing ecological challenges.
Ending hunger and promoting sustainable agriculture to ensure food security for all.
Fostering healthy lives and well-being for all at all ages.
Ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
Promoting access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy for all.
Our Vision
We envision a world where sustainability is more than just a conversation — it is a global practice. Through collaboration, innovation, and advocacy, we aim to foster a global network of changemakers committed to driving progress on the SDGs, from eradicating poverty to combating climate change.

Your Green Room for Climate Action
As part of Sustainability Hour, institutions, companies, universities, schools, and civil societies worldwide are invited to create a Green Room—inspired by the traditional theater space where actors prepare to perform. Hosts can organize workshops, discussions, and events that bring forward groundbreaking ideas and transformative projects, building connections among communities, industries, and policymakers working toward shared climate goals.
Who Can Host
Sustainability Hour welcomes participation from a diverse group of stakeholders who are passionate about driving sustainable change:
- Sustainability advocates
- Policymakers and government representatives
- Corporate leaders in sustainability
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
- Academic institutions and researchers
- Social entrepreneurs and community leaders
